National Trust: Gibside
Darklight created the festive site decorations across the Chapel, Marketplace, and Stables. This included the much-loved tradition of making a Christmas wish on the star installation in the Chapel, along with pillar décor and decorative garlands, Santa’s Office at the Stables, and the new Memory Tree installation. The Memory Tree was built using branches from fallen trees collected throughout the year, forming a Christmas tree where visitors could place a leaf while reflecting on what they wished to remember from the year.
Darklight provided lighting & sound equipment for the Chapel for seasonal accompaniment and atmosphere.
Darklight provided a team of specialists to work within the guidelines of the site conservation to install and de-rig both the Stables and the Chapel with minimal disruption to the day-to-day operations of the site.

Designing a unique immersive theatre experience within the basement and surrounding area. Including external lighting installations and live performance. A new challenge for Darklight this year as we increased the theatrical element of the entertainment in the evening, double the amount of actors, a script and direction. As with previous years we provided the full experience as a VoiceOver for the daytime experience.
Working with the National Trust to create a schedule that works for the public, the site opening hours and sunset, as well as providing staff to run the additional event. This included an Event Manager, tech support and a team of performers for the experience.
Darklight provided lighting, sound and staging for both indoors and out. All outdoor equipment is IP rated and all equipment is PAT certified.

Halloween at the Hall, was a project of two parts, to cover both the daytime visitors to the National Trust's Seaton Delaval Hall, and also an after dark audience with the expectation of a scare or two. Based on local ghost stories and legends it brought the building and it's well known characters to life!
Darklight were the Design Team for the creative and technical content. Teaming up with The Prop Making Company for the installations within the basement. We also provided the lighting and sound for the full experience on site, and managed the live performance aspect of the event.
